Lake of the Arbuckles is a 1960s Bureau of Reclamation reservoir in south-central Oklahoma. It was formed by impounding Guy Sandy, Buckhorn, and Rock creeks.
A national recreation area lake
The reservoir sits inside Chickasaw National Recreation Area, so the National Park Service has a major role in managing recreation around the water.
The fishery
The current fish record includes bass, crappie, catfish, sunfish, and several other species. ODWC lists a maximum depth of about 82 feet.
A first-day plan
I would pick one creek arm and learn it instead of bouncing between all three. That gives you a much better chance to understand how the lake lays out.
