If you are looking at Taylor Lake, you are looking at a Bayfield County lake and its basic numbers come out to about 85 acres and a maximum depth of 15 feet, so at least you are starting with real numbers instead of guessing from a map.

The first trip does not need a giant tackle plan with my first few stops centered on shoreline cover, weed edges, and the first clean drop away from the bank and I would only make a big move if those places truly look empty.
The fishery on paper
Recorded species at Taylor Lake include Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and Yellow Perch; which gives me a good reason to start with weeds, wood, rock, or docks for bass and points, breaks, and wind-pushed edges for walleye, and see what actually shows up before changing directions.
My game plan
If I had a few hours to figure out Taylor Lake, I would pick a small part of the lake and try to understand it before worrying about everything else, and I would make sure the current Wisconsin fishing regulations do not add a special rule for this water.
