Fish species in New Albion Lake
Official stocking history
Stocking records show that the following fish or strains were stocked here. A historical stocking does not by itself prove that a self-sustaining population remains today.
New Albion Lake was created in 1982 by impounding Conewango Creek for flood control. Fields, scrub and patches of woods surround its undeveloped shoreline. Spring-stocked trout provide seasonal fishing, while the resident bass population offers a reason to return after the immediate stocking period.
