Dell Lake

Oconto County is home to Dell Lake, a mapped lake and the water facts we have show about 33 acres and a maximum depth of 10 feet, so you can plan the trip around the water that is really there, not the lake you imagined.

A simple read on the lake

I would let the first few spots tell me what kind of day it is going to be and I would build the day around shoreline cover, weed edges, and the first clean drop away from the bank and if nothing happens, the next move should change the kind of water, not just the scenery.

The species on record

I cannot give you a trustworthy species list for Dell Lake from the current data; before i planned around a specific fish, i would check the latest exact-water dnr information, and without turning a simple lake trip into a gear-hauling contest.

What I would do first

If I were putting together a simple plan for Dell Lake, I would keep one shallow option and one deeper option ready so the day does not depend on a single idea, then I would check the latest Wisconsin regulation details before the day starts.
