Ictalurus pricei is retained as the scientific identity. The checked range includes Yaqui and Casas Grandes waters in northwestern Mexico, with historical southeastern Arizona context treated cautiously. A broad drainage description is not proof of unchanged current occupancy throughout the region.

Adults occur in quiet river habitat over sand or rock. This is more specific than a general catfish association with any muddy water. The actual occupied reach, bottom and current should remain attached to a record where those details are known.
Food and Life History
The upper reference is fifty-seven centimeters total length. The short summary does not establish an independent maximum body mass, complete feeding list or detailed reproductive sequence.
