Erimystax harryi occurs in the St. Francis and White systems of Missouri and Arkansas. The Ozark name does not mean that every regional stream contains the species. Exact drainage and collection locality help distinguish it from other chubs and minnows with similar body forms.
Habitat and Behavior
Adults inhabit clear small to large rivers over gravel and rubble. Current-swept pools are included alongside riffles and runs, so a pool record need not imply still water. Preserve local flow and substrate rather than reducing all observations to one preferred channel feature.

The maximum reference is eleven centimeters total length. The available summary does not establish a detailed migration route, maximum mass or a complete spawning calendar. Those details should not be supplied from another Erimystax species simply because related fishes share the same broader river region.
