Wilson Flowage is a lake on the Price County map and the current record puts it at about 162 acres and a maximum depth of 6 feet, which is the first thing I would want to know if a buddy asked me about this place.

I would not try to turn the first trip into a science project and I would make sure I actually fish shoreline cover, weed edges, and the first clean drop away from the bank and I would take a couple of bites in one type of water over a dozen pretty spots with no life.
The current species list
Right now, the inventory connects Wilson Flowage with Black Crappie, Bluegill, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, and Yellow Perch; which tells me to think about weeds and easy cover for panfish and weed lines and baitfish areas for pike or musky, and stick with what produces signs of life.
How I would learn the lake
Going into a first day on Wilson Flowage, I would spend less time changing lures and more time noticing depth, cover, water color, and where bait is showing, then I would confirm the current rules before the first fish ever comes over the side.
