Turtle Lake

Up in Chippewa County, Turtle Lake is a lake and the published measurements are about 6 acres and a maximum depth of 9 feet, so the size of the job is pretty easy to understand before you go.

I would rather get two useful clues than make twenty random stops with the first real effort focused on the best bank cover, any obvious weeds, and the deepest water I can reach and I would give the fish a chance to show me whether they want shallow cover or nearby depth.

What anglers can target

The current fish list for Turtle Lake includes Black Crappie, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Yellow Perch; which makes it reasonable to try weeds and easy cover for panfish, and let current conditions settle the details.
