Round Lake is a lake on the Barron County map and the best numbers we have right now are about 19 acres and a maximum depth of 16 feet, and that is the kind of basic information I actually want before fishing somewhere new.

I would not try to turn the first trip into a science project with a short rotation through the best bank cover, any obvious weeds, and the deepest water I can reach because the easiest way to waste a day is to keep moving without learning anything.
The current species list
Right now, the inventory connects Round Lake with Black Crappie, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Yellow Perch; so I would pack with weeds and easy cover for panfish, and use the first few bites to narrow the plan.
How I would learn the lake
Going into a first day on Round Lake, I would choose a few spots that look different from one another and give each one a fair chance, then I would verify any special water rules before deciding what can go in the cooler.
