Muck Lake

If you are looking at Muck Lake, you are looking at a Douglas County lake and its basic numbers come out to about 20 acres and a maximum depth of 4 feet, so the size of the job is pretty easy to understand before you go.

Size, depth, and the lay of the lake

The first trip does not need a giant tackle plan with my first few stops centered on the best bank cover, any obvious weeds, and the deepest water I can reach before I spent the rest of the day chasing somebody else's old fishing report.

I am leaving the fish list for Muck Lake alone until there is better exact-water evidence; for now, i would fish what the water shows me and verify species before making a species-specific trip, and and adjust only after the lake gives me a reason.

My game plan

If I had a few hours to figure out Muck Lake, I would pick a small part of the lake and try to understand it before worrying about everything else, then I would confirm the current Wisconsin rules for the species I plan to target.
