Fish Lake

Fish Lake is a named lake in Juneau County and the useful numbers here are about 41 acres; a dependable maximum depth is not in the current record, and that is a much better place to start than pretending every lake fishes the same.

A quick look at the water

I would keep the first trip pretty simple with a little time spent on shoreline cover, weed edges, and the first clean drop away from the bank before making the day harder than it needs to be.

Recorded fish species

The fish side of the Fish Lake record is still thin; i would rather leave that blank than send somebody out after a fish that may not be there, and rather than hauling gear for every fish in the state.

My basic approach

If we were fishing Fish Lake together, I would make every move change one big thing, like depth or cover, instead of just driving to another pretty spot, then I would check the current Wisconsin rules before the first cast.
