Prairie Dog Tank

Prairie Dog Tank in Socorro County is a reservoir in New Mexico and covers about 0.5 acres, reaches about 2.3 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 0.6 acre-feet.

When the bite is slow on Prairie Dog Tank, on a water as small as this water, one weed edge or deeper pocket can hold much of the day’s activity. A direct approach on Prairie Dog Tank works like this: this water is shallow, so weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
