Horse Trap Tank

Horse Trap Tank is a reservoir in Hidalgo County, New Mexico, and covers about 1 acres, reaches about 3 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 1.6 acre-feet.

On a water as small as Horse Trap Tank, one weed edge or deeper pocket can hold much of the day’s activity. With little deep water in Horse Trap Tank, weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
