Hardcastle Tank

The 0.5-acre Hardcastle Tank in Catron County is a reservoir in New Mexico and covers about 0.5 acres, reaches about 2.2 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 0.6 acre-feet.

On Hardcastle Tank, the small size of this water makes quiet casts and short moves more useful than carrying a pile of tackle. During the first hour on Hardcastle Tank, this water is shallow, so weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
