Government Tank

Government Tank in Chaves County is a reservoir in New Mexico and covers about 1.5 acres, reaches about 3.4 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 2.8 acre-feet.

The small size of Government Tank makes quiet casts and short moves more useful than carrying a pile of tackle. During the first hour on Government Tank, this water is shallow, so weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
