Cottonwood Tank

The 0.4-acre Cottonwood Tank in Hidalgo County is a reservoir in New Mexico and covers about 0.4 acres, reaches about 2.2 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 0.5 acre-feet.

When the bite is slow on Cottonwood Tank, on a water as light as this water, one weed edge or deeper pocket can hold much of the day’s activity. For a first pass on Cottonwood Tank, this water is shallow, so weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
