Big Tank

The 0.5-acre Big Tank in Hidalgo County is a reservoir in New Mexico and covers about 0.5 acres, reaches about 2.3 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 0.6 acre-feet.

On a water as light as Big Tank, one weed edge or lower pocket can hold much of the day’s activity. While learning Big Tank, this water is shallow, so weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
