Legion Lake

Legion Lake sits in Lee County and is classified as a reservoir; I would pick one sheltered area near the launch as the first place to size up the opening section before deciding I need a completely different plan. I would work one short area near the launch long enough to see whether the first idea has any life in it, because a first trip only needs to produce one useful clue.

Legion Lake Size, Maximum Depth and Volume

Legion Lake does not have a dependable set of published size and depth measurements, so I would watch the first few places I can reach and keep the first visit flexible until the scale is clearer. The lack of exact measurements on Legion Lake makes one manageable piece of water a sensible place to begin and let the first hour decide whether I need more water.

Fishing This Water

Species information for Legion Lake is limited, so I would use one versatile setup carrying a few soft plastics and live bait so the water can tell me which direction deserves more attention. I would keep the second tackle change off the table on Legion Lake until I read the nearby water so each change has a clear reason behind it.

A Practical Legion Lake Game Plan

For a first trip to Legion Lake, I would fish one straightforward section of bank long enough to judge the plan before moving, then switch depth before changing every bait and leave with a clearer plan for the next visit. After Legion Lake gives me something repeatable around one sheltered shoreline stretch, I would give that idea more time instead of immediately looking elsewhere, which is enough information to improve the next trip.
