Fish Lake is a lake in Louisiana, near St. Tammany County.
Fish Lake sits in St. Tammany Parish and is classified as a lake, and I would rather spend more time casting than relocating. I would pick one familiar-looking starting zone as the first section to learn, because a first trip should give you a useful clue rather than a tour of every corner.
Published physical measurements are limited for Fish Lake, and I would rather judge the scale in person before making a long run, so on a first visit I would use what I can see instead of guessing at a measurement. I would rely on learning the shoreline before making a long run, and I would plan modestly until the size of the water is clear.
A reliable fish list tied specifically to Fish Lake is difficult to verify, and I would rather let the first catches narrow the plan, so on the first visit I would wait for actual catches before specializing the tackle. I would start with one versatile setup carrying a few small artificials and a bottom rig, because the goal is to find out what responds before narrowing the tackle any further.
On Fish Lake, I would begin around one straightforward piece of water and keep the first plan simple; I would spend more time fishing a promising area than driving around looking for a perfect one.
