Allen Lake is a lake in Louisiana, near Tensas County.
Within Tensas Parish, Allen Lake is identified as a lake. A first look would begin around one easy-to-read starting zone, because I would rather understand one section than skim the whole place.
Reliable acreage, maximum depth, and storage numbers are not readily available for Allen Lake. The first trip should emphasize looking at the immediate area before making a long run, and there is no reason to guess at depth or acreage just to make the trip sound more certain.
Exact species information is sparse for Allen Lake. I would keep the first outing flexible with a light spinning setup with a few small artificials and a bottom rig, since the second trip can be more specific after you know what is actually there.
A practical first day on Allen Lake starts with one familiar-looking piece of water and one clear target; if nothing happens, I would move to a different type of water before changing every lure in the box.
