Sumac Lake

Sumac Lake is a lake in Randolph County, Arkansas; when i am still figuring it out, i would make one change at a time and save the fancy ideas for later.

What we know before picking a target: without chasing theories

While I still have time to change things, i would check the current regulations and the most recent access information i can find because a small check before the drive can save a lot of time.

The starting point for this water: before making assumptions

Once the map is put away, i would stay close to access i know i can use before I decide the first idea was wrong.

Before the first cast for a first trip: before choosing a direction

There is no dependable fish list tied to this exact water right now, so I would avoid pretending a nearby reservoir has the same fish; A real fish list will be worth adding when we have one.

How I would look at it when the water is unfamiliar: while keeping things simple

The Quick Facts still need more physical data, which means I would keep the plan flexible rather than pretend we know more than we do; There is no value in publishing a number we cannot defend.
