Malpais Tank

The 0.3-acre Malpais Tank in Coconino County is a reservoir in Arizona and covers about 0.3 acres, reaches about 6 feet at its deepest point and holds roughly 0.7 acre-feet.

A direct approach on Malpais Tank works like this: the light size of this water makes quiet casts and short moves more useful than carrying a pile of tackle. On an first pass, with little deep water in Malpais Tank, weeds, wind, and water color can matter more than depth alone.
