Indo-Pacific Range
The distribution includes parts of the Indian Ocean and western Pacific, extending through southern and eastern Asia toward Australia and island waters. The scientific name is Ambassis miops. Precise locality helps distinguish this species from other small glassfishes in the same broad region.
